Saavr

Privacy Policy

Effective October 24, 2026

Saavr ("we", "us") is an app that turns videos you save from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other sites into cards with the key information from each video. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The short version:

Information we collect

To build a card, we also gather publicly available information about the video you saved, such as its caption and creator. This is information about public videos, not about you.

We don't collect your contacts, location, photos or advertising identifiers, and we don't access your Instagram, TikTok or YouTube accounts.

How we use information

To run your account, build and show your cards, library, collections and notes, keep Saavr working and secure, and reply when you contact us. Your edits, added text, collections and notes are private to you.

AI processing

Saavr uses Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, to turn public information about a video into a card. If you add text to a card, that text is sent to Claude too. Anthropic doesn't use this data to train its models, and we don't send your email address or other account details.

Who we share information with

We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Saavr, and only as needed for their services: AI processing (Anthropic, described above), hosting, email delivery, error reporting and internal team tools. You can email us for the current list.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of Saavr, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

Videos and other platforms

Saavr plays videos in each platform's official embedded player. When you play a video, it loads directly from that platform, which may receive information such as your IP address and device details under its own privacy policy. We don't store copies of videos.

Saavr uses YouTube API Services. By using Saavr with YouTube videos, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Beta testing

If you test Saavr through Apple's TestFlight, Apple shares information with us such as your name, invite email, crash reports and feedback you send through TestFlight, under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

How long we keep information

We keep your account and what you create in Saavr until you delete it or delete your account. Crash reports are kept for a limited period, then deleted.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or delete your saves, cards, collections and notes in the app. To delete your account and everything in it, go to Settings → Delete account. To get a copy of your information or ask a privacy question, email us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as to access, correct, delete or move your information, or to object to some processing. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.

Security

We use encryption and other industry-standard measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Children

Saavr isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
